History and Activities

The Eastern New York MGA Club was founded in 1990 to promote education about MGs, serving the entire MG communityIn addition to MGAs, we welcome all types of MGs, from MG T series thru MGCs, Midgets and Magnettes. Most of our members reside in the tri-state area, but some live as far away as Florida. We are open to everyone with an interest in British marques.  Ownership is not required for membership in our club. The annual dues are $20, which include the bimonthly newsletter and a club decal for your British car. Throughout the year, the club sponsors hands-on tech sessions, as well as trips to restoration establishments in the area. We meet masters in the areas of classic and collector car restoration andmaintenance. The skills demonstrated include panel work, paint, upholstery, engine and transmission repair and many others. Additional club events include our annual Winterfest Luncheon at the Brownstone and the Dr. Anthony J. Pfister Memorial Spring Dust-off and Sunday Brunch at the ‘76 House. Both events are partially subsidized by the club. We organize road rallies in the spring and fall. We plan to have a summer club picnic for our members. The annual Fallfest British Car Show is hosted by the Eastern New York MGA Club, the Austin Healey Sports and Touring Club, and the New Jersey Triumph Association. It is one of the last shows of the year and it draws nearly 200 British cars. The Eastern New York MGA Club is affiliated with the North American MGA Register (NAMGAR).
